We recommend using our Webmail so that you can view emails caught as Spam.
This is especially important if your current settings are POP3.
POP3 cannot see the emails in the Spam folder.
This information describes changes needed to Send and Receive email using Secure POP3 settings.
- Open Windows Live Mail.
- In the Ribbon at the top, click the ACCOUNTS tab.
- Click PROPERTIES (the @ with a checkmark)
- Click the SERVERS tab in the Properties box.
- Both the Incoming and Outgoing servers should read: mail.venustel.com
Change them if they do not read: mail.venustel.com
- In the “Email username:” box, enter your full email address.
- “Log on using clear text authentication” should be selected.
- At the bottom, click to checkmark “My server requires authentication”, if needed.
- Click the APPLY button at the bottom right.
- Click the ADVANCED tab at the top of the Properties box.
- In the “Outgoing mail (SMTP)” section, click to checkmark the box next to “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)”.
- Enter 587 in the “Outgoing mail (SMTP)” box.
- In the “Incoming mail (POP3)” section, click to checkmark the box next to “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)”.
- Change the Port number above it to 995, if it doesn't change automatically.
- Click APPLY at the bottom right and then click OK.
- Click the HOME tab in the Ribbon at the top to return to the normal buttons.
