The 1986 Suzuki ALT125G

HOME

For a complete collection, all manufacturer's must be represented. Suzuki really should have stuck with 4 wheelers - especially since their slogan has been "First on 4 wheels" for years. First the good design aspects of the trike: it has a factory odometer, which is a really nice feature and a reverse gear is really nice too. Now for the bads: The reverse gear is very very fast, making it pretty dangereous. The weight distribution is horrid! This trike pushes in the corners like nothing I have ever ridden. The gas tank is under the seat - very inconvienent. The seat must be made for 3 people to ride on. And the overall looks of this machine are just plain hideous! It must be the only midsized ATV made in 1986 with still no suspension at all. This machines Ergonomics are for someone who is grossly deformed. It is extremely narrow, making it tippy . But, it does have an odometer and reverse. I still think it is really cool, and very unique. Being a 1986 model makes it a rare find in my eyes - heck before I got it, I didn't even know Suzuki was still making 3-wheelers in 1986. All and all, it is in decent shape, and it will be reworked and petted in my garage. I have found an orange OEM front fender for it, now I need to find the mid section and an OEM seat cover.
