The 1973 Honda US90

HOME

Tionesta Trikes aquired this 1973 US90 in September of 2007. It is pretty much all original down to it's hard to find, unique, super cool balloon tires. Dressed in it's "Parrot Green" color and sporting original decals from 1973 - this US90 is a real antique. Upon purchase it really needs nothing. It starts up fine - shifts through all gears fine - light all work. It will be stored in "Climate Control" for the rest of it's life.

Our plans for this rarity is to eventually restore it - which means new paint and decals and clean it up alot.

The Honda US 90 was the first ATV ever. Some will argue that the Argo style 6 wheeled amphibious was the first, but I just do not consider those to be a standard ATV. 1969 marked the first year for the US90. In 1973 the name was trade marked "ATC" - All Terrain Cycle - thus the Honda ATC lineup from there on out. 1973 was also the first year for a head light a tail light to come stock on the US / ATC 90. Prior to this date - lighting was an add-on feature. The first US/ATC 90s had fiberglass rear fenders, a metal front fender and those ultra cool wheel-less tires. In 1975, there were major changes to the ATC90. It's rear fenders got re-styled and had the addition of mud flaps added. The front fender went from metal to plastic, and the wheel-less tires got updated to what we currently have on ATVs now-a-days; a wheel and a tire. 1978 marked the end of the era for ATC90s as they were updated to the ATC110 in 1979.
